Just ten years ago, the DMV region was largely reliant on a combination of personal vehicles and WMATA to traverse Washington DC’s congestion. The advent of ride and car sharing, and more recently bike and scooter sharing, has expanded mobility options for all demographics. While shared use has the potential to drastically improve the mobility of individuals, what is the overall cost to our cities? YPT has convened a panel of professionals working to shape the shared use policy and culture on the DMV region. They will discuss the roles that their organizations play in the shared economy and what they see for the future of transportation for our city.
